Hiyas!
I am Marjorie Jimenez and I am a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. (I hope the images on this page appear clearly for you, they're a mess on my end even though they were nice and clear when I first put them on this page...odd.) :) Anyway, I graduated from Manzano High School in May of 1991. I then continued my education as an electrical engineering major at the University of New Mexico (UNM). While studying at UNM, I participated in the cooperative education program by taking two semesters off from my studies to work at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. I also worked as a student intern at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) in Albuquerque, NM. After several years of hard work, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering on May 17, 1997. Upon graduation, I decided to continue my student internship position at SNL through August 1997. Then, I wanted to have a break from school and the programming work I had been doing during the past 5 years at SNL so I spent the next five and a half months in England. I had a fabulous time. However, now I am back in Albuquerque and I have returned to SNL as a graduate student intern.
Some of my other interests include reading good novels. I love to read both classic and modern literature including authors such as Charlotte Bronte, Anne Rice, and Isaac Asimov. I loved Jane Eyre by Bronte. I also loved Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and the Foundation series by Asimov. I also love to read and collect poetry especially poems written by Emily Dickinson. Please visit my 'Literature' page to learn more about some great authors and poets.
Some of my other interests involve a rather extensive use of email
and the internet. A couple of years ago, I stumbled across newsgroups. While learning how to use newsgroups for information, I was also fortunate enough to find a group which is definitely the friendliest group of people on the internet ...alt.good.morning (AGM). Since then I have met many terrific friends through this group and I've even been fortunate enough to meet with many of these people in person. The most recent of these irl(in real life) meetings that I attended was UKAGM96 which was, of course, in the United Kingdom. :) Around 70 people attended this week long party. Several countries were represented and tons of fun was had by all.
Hmmm...what else should you know????
That's all I can think of right now. If you have some urgent question that you feel I absolutely must answer, just drop me a note.
